My career

Well Guys, Hello, in this blog I Will Write of my career.

I chose to study psychology because always wanted to study this career. Psychology is my thirty-third career, my first career is theatre, my second career is pedagogy in arts (but I do not finish) and in the present Psychology. When studied theatre I read the Psychoanalytic theory by Freud but I did not understand anything.

When I had a child with my partner, I made the decision to go back to university, but this time something more "traditional", and now I am here.

Psychology has a very interesting curriculum and in general, When I discovered the social sciences and the relationship with other disciplines it was very amazing. This career is composed of five fields, the educational psychology, the psychology Community, the psychology clinical, the psychology juridic, and occupational psychology. And to me, I liked them clinical psychology and in this fields exist five theoretical lines, for example, the theoretical lines are composed, the psychoanalysis, the behaviour cognitive psychology, existential-humanistic psychology, and Constructive cognitive psychology.

I had always wanted to study at this university, by the level of teachers and by the level of teachers and their students.

My best holidays

Well,

I remember that my best holidays were When went I went with my best friend to Buenos Aires.

In 2015 my best friend, whose name is Roberto, was heartbroken due to a very crazy relationship.

So, Then he with a broken heart told me. “Man, you can travel with me, everything will be a party” At this time I had been a father, my son was two years old,  but the mother of my son gave me permission, and at that moment, the party began.

We went for two weeks in September and we were only in Buenos Aires.

I remember the most times we were walking in the city.

We went to museums, libraries, coffee shops and to pizzerias.

And above all, we went to see many movies.

Also, I do not say that we do not go party…

It has been the best holidays because I could rest from my father responsibilities, I met another country and I help my brother with his pain.

My autobiography

Well, Guys.

My name is Gerardo Pérez, I am an actor and student of psychology at this university.

I have thirty years old, yes… I am not young people, but I know you think I look twenty-one, but really I have thirty years old.

Well, I was born in Santiago of Chile, but when I turned five years old, We went to live la Serena. 

I lived in the serene until I was seventeen years old, because I had to travel to Santiago to study theatre.

My family is the typical family of the middle class, my parents work every day, my mom is a teacher and my father is a driver. I have a brother, he is a cook.

Also, I have a son and a somewhat complicated relationship. The name of my child is Gustavo and he has six years old.

I very like swimming, run, play the guitar, read a variety of books to different subjects and I really love movies.

I like legal psychology, and in the future, I want to work in this field.

I enjoyed studying cognitive behavioral psychology

In this second semestrer I enjoyed studying cognitive behavioral psychology, this subject is about experimental psychology with animals and animals not humans. Study Behavioral psychology is very difficult because in the field exist more theorical lines. The line of the pavlovian conditioning and operant conditioning. The first is about of learning acquired by experience discovered by Ivan Pavlov in 1903 with won The Nobel prize in 1904 , and the second about it on reinforcers that reward behavior, discovered by Frederic Skinner .

In the semester I discovered I liked the material because this theorical lines have very scientific evidence in the clinical psychology, for example in drug therapies, in phobias with animals and The dirt, in alcoholism, and in personality disorders. But the Behavioral pshychology raises more controversy with the practice to experiment with animals specifically in experiments with rats and pigeons.

In this semester teachers made us investigate about the behavioral contrast, is very boring.

The behavioral cognitive is very demanding, but I think that with a good working group everything can go well.

  

My favorite food is lentils.

My favorite food is lentils.

I have always liked typicals food.

I remember in my childhood that my grandmother always cooked legumes, especially lentils.

The lentils are small legumes that have more proteins. The lentils are a very nutritious food and in the world they are very known.

They are a very complete food and contain: iron, zinc, vitamin a, vitamin c, vitamin b.  

They are cooked with potatoes, meat and vegetables. The lentils are brown color and they are cooked in boiling water.

My experience with this food is more nostalgic because every time I traveled to the south my grandmother cooked lentils every day and I played in the kitchen. They legumes are a food tipical of the south and they cook in the winther.

In the present, I do not travel to the south because I have more jobs every time, and I haven’t seen my grandmother for a long time, but I believe that cooked lentils to remember it.

 I cook the lentils to my son once a week.

“The monk bonzo”

Hello guys!

My favorite picture is “The monk bonzo”. This happened on the 10th of June in 1963 In Saigon, in front of the embassy in Cambodia. In the picture the monk Buddhist Thich quag duc alive in protest because on the 10^th May in 1963 there was police repression.

The photo was taken by Malcolm Browne an American journalist.

The president of the Vietnam Mr. Diem in the day protests for religious freedom represses the population and seven peoples and two children were killed.

The monk began to meditate while they sprayed benzine.

The picture of the monk bonzo is my favorite because it's a very radical act of the protest.

After this the president was overthrown. And Buddhism was recognized.

It is one of the most important photos, It is very shocking.

My favorite movie is:

I have more favorite movies of different genres, but in my top five favorite movies it's found “the shining”.

This movie is a horror film from 1980, is about it a family in the united stated that travels to a hotel to take care of it, the problem is that the father begins to go crazy, starts talking whit to the dead and he wants to kill his family whit the ax.

This movie an adaptation of the good of the directors and good of cinema Stanley Kubrick of the a book written by Stephen king, with the sublime performance by Jack Nickolson together with Shelley Duval and Danny LLoyd.

I love movie because the treatment of the characters, the photograph, the music, and the atmosphere are shocking and sublime.

I remember when I was a teenager and I saw the movie, I could not go to the bathroom in the night for one weeks.
