Hello guys!
My favorite picture is “The monk bonzo”. This happened on the 10th of
June in 1963 In Saigon, in front of the embassy in Cambodia. In the picture the monk
Buddhist Thich quag duc alive in protest because on the 10th May
in 1963 there was police repression.
The photo
was taken by Malcolm Browne an American journalist.
The
president of the Vietnam Mr. Diem in the day protests for religious freedom
represses the population and seven peoples and two children were killed.
The monk
began to meditate while they sprayed benzine.
The picture
of the monk bonzo is my favorite because it's a very radical act of the protest.
After this
the president was overthrown. And Buddhism was recognized.
It is one
of the most important photos, It is very shocking.
Goodbye my dear friends.
It's a horrible way to die!
